Getting Started

The Lexington Shambhala Center offers several supports for helping someone begin or reestablish a meditation practice.

A simple way to begin is to attend our Saturday morning sitting meditation session (Café Shambhala), which offers basic instruction beginning at 10:00 AM and again usually at 11:00. Café also features a reading from one of our basic texts, discussion and social time.

Check our calendar for the availability of an introductory class, such as “Meditation in Everyday Life.”

View the online courses available from Shambhala International.

Do the online module of the program “Fostering Emotional Intelligence through Meditation” here.

To support an ongoing meditation practice, members of the Center may develop a relationship with any of our Meditation Instructors.
