Join us for a one-day meditation retreat in person at our Burbank Center. All are welcome! No prior experience necessary.

By learning to rest in the present moment through mindfulness meditation, we connect with our own inherent sanity and worthiness despite what's happening in our world so that we can be present for every aspect of our lives.

This retreat will include an exploration of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness drawn from a discourse of the Buddha called the Satipatthana Sutra which is the basis of everything we have come to know as meditation.

If you are new to meditation, the teachings on establishing mindfulness practice may be of benefit. If you are a seasoned meditator, you can deepen your practice as we examine the Buddha’s teachings on Mindfulness of Body, Feeling, Effort, and Mind.

Group meditation instruction will be given followed by periods of sitting and walking meditation practice, talks, and group discussion. Snacks and beverages will be provided. There will be a lunch break from 12 – 1 pm. Please bring your own lunch.

Come join us! We are looking forward to a day of mindfulness practice and contemplative inquiry with you!
